• Special professional Japanese Hedge / Shrub Shears “Karikichi Silver” made by Nishigaki in Japan. Made of high quality carbon steel. the cutting edges are very sharp cut nicely. Excellent for topiary boxwood. shrubs. hedges. other various garden tasks such as trimming. shaping. thinning. etc. blades can be resharpened. The handles are made of Japanese White Oak. Nishigaki Model No. N-734. Includes protective vinyl sheath for blade   Made in Japan.

  About Carbon Steel

     High carbon steel is tougher harder than stainless steels. making it ideal desirable for applications where durability is required where frequent regrinding is needed. Carbon steels are more durable have razor-sharp edges. is easy to re-sharpen as well when the need arises.

     Since carbon steel has superior cutting qualities due to it’s hardness toughness. it’s resistance to corrosion caused by moisture is low as a result. Therefore. it is important to try and keep your carbon steel blades away from moist or damp environments as much as possible. It is also a good idea to occasionally wipe the blade with a light oil. such as mineral oil from time to time. It is also a good idea to wipe the blade dry after each use.
